SomaOS ("we", "us") respects your privacy and processes personal data lawfully and transparently in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

1. Data we collect

Anonymous usage analytics (page views, anonymised device class). For authenticated accounts: email address, hashed password, and any biometric measurements you explicitly save to your profile. Biometric scans are processed on-device and the original media is never transmitted to SomaOS servers.

2. Cookies and advertising

Free-tier sessions display advertisements served by Google AdSense within designated "System Sponsors" containers. AdSense may set first- and third-party cookies to personalise ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud — including the __gads, IDE, NID, and _gcl_au cookies. EU, UK, and California visitors are shown a consent banner before any non-essential cookie is set. SomaOS Elite accounts unmount all advertising elements and disable all advertising cookies.

3. Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting privacy@somaos.app. California residents may additionally request that we not sell or share their personal information.

4. Data retention

Account data is retained until you delete your account or request erasure. Anonymous analytics are aggregated and retained for up to 24 months.
